• Let's hope they hurry up. The current system is very cumbersome and slow, involving fingerprints, photo, arrival card, and long queues at immigration, even for just a day or two stopover. And no fast track for business class. Officials are always polite and helpful, but it just takes time.

  • Why only 3 days prior to entry for submission of the digital card? The US ESTA for can be submitted any time. However, the Malaysia card can only be submitted (strictly) three days prior, which is a real pain.

  • Does this mean BA is finally abandoning its longstanding forward/backward seating configuration in business class in the long-haul fleet?

  • J-class fares on MH tend to be a little higher than competitors. Maybe the satay sticks explain the difference?

Just as there is a big difference between looking at paintings in the Louvre on line and looking at them for real in the actual gallery in Paris, so there's a big difference between social/commercial interaction with someone on a s...

  • The JAL business class window seats give you a lot of privacy and direct (if very narrow) aisle access. The clincher for me is the Japanese main meal menu on JAL. A superb and authentic Japanese experience.
