Hi all

I just completed a flight from KUL to DOH in Business on a QR ticket (MH metal) and it has come up as "Ineligible Flight" Has anyone seen this before? I have flown QR many times in Business and always receive the status credits as per the calculator.

I took DOH to AMS after that on QR metal, it will be interesting to see how that comes up.

I had similar issues but different airline. Fly business on AY code but on MH metal. If the farecode is eligible then you will need to contact qantas frequent flyer team to claim the points manually. In my experience, I had to go a few rounds explaining that the flight was eligible before they would concede and give you the points.

Hi FFScientist, I had this exact issue in 2022 and it took me 4 months (and 7+ phone calls) to finally get my status credits. When they eventually credited the status they deemed it MH flight even thought it was a QR ticket.

The final salt in the wound, there is no business class earn rate for MH on that route, so was credited 50 status (flexible economy)

It’s a MH thing. I have travelled with them a lot and although they are good value and, in my opinion, are a decent operator, they do have a poor QF earn rate. I recently flew Chennai to KUL to MEL all business. Chennai to KUL 80 status and 2500 QF points (classified as business) and KUL to MEL 30 status and 4000 QF points (classified as flexible economy)

Given up worrying about all this points stuff now. Just not worth the stress.
